“Writing, or at least good writing, is an outgrowth of that urge to use language to communicate complex ideas and experiences between people. And that’s true whether you’re reading Shakespeare or bad vampire fiction—reading is always an act of empathy. It’s always an imagining of what it’s like to be someone else.”
One of the reasons I developed a love for writing was because I started reading again, not to write a paper about the book, but to enjoy it for what it was; a story. The first book I picked up again was The Fault In Our Stars by John Green and something about the way he knew his style so well and executed it with such confidence made me crave the ability to do just that.
I’m a recent college grad from SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a minor in Creative Writing. I’m 22 years old and currently living in New York (not NYC, but a small town way upstate).
This blog serves to be a platform for me to share the stories that I write, whether they be fiction or non-fiction (as well as some journal-like content thrown in the mix) and for it to be easily accessible to anyone who wishes to read the weird little stories that I come up with.
